Year: | 2006 |
Description: | Please note the current version is WRAT5.
The Wide Range Achievement Test 4 (WRAT-4) is intended for use by professionals who need a quick, simple, and psychometrically sound measure of fundamental academic skills. It also can be used to quickly assess large groups of individuals to identify those who need additional evaluation, to evaluate achievement/ability discrepancies, to identify specific learning disabilities, to re-evaluate individuals previously diagnosed with learning and/or cognitive disorders, and to assess an individual’s academic progress over time. It measures basic academic skills necessary for effective learning, communication, and thinking: reading and spelling words and performing basic mathematical calculations – and an entirely new measure of reading achievement: Sentence Comprehension. Two alternate forms are provided: Blue Form and Green Form. They can be used interchangeably with comparable results and they allow for retesting within short periods of time without the potential practice effects that may occur from repeating the same items. |
