Description: | The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fifth Edition, Integrated (WISC-V Integrated) is an individually administered clinical instrument designed to assess the cognitive ability and problem-solving processes of children aged 6 years 0 months through 16 years 11 months. The WISC-V Integrated’ s 14 subtests and scores extend the clinical information that can be obtained about test-taking behaviours and the cognitive processes that contribute to intellectual functioning as revealed by performance on the WISC-V. The WISC-V Integrated also provides two index scores (i.e., the Multiple Choice Verbal Comprehension Index and the Visual Working Memory Index) that permit additional understanding of the cognitive abilities in specific areas of intellectual functioning, measured by the WISC-V. The WISC-V-Integrated is organized by the five cognitive domains defined in the WISC-V: Verbal Spatial, Perceptual, Fluid Reasoning, Working Memory, and Processing Speed.
WISC-V Integrated subtests include:
The WISC-V Integrated is useful for a variety of overlapping clinical purposes, including investigating low WISC-V scores, testing the limits of a child’s performance, obtaining more detailed information about a child’s cognitive processing and abilities, and making intervention recommendations. |
