|Title:||PDD Behavior Inventory Screening Version (PDDBI-SV)|
|Author:||Cohen, I.L. & Sudhalter, V.|
|Description:||The PDD Behavior Inventory Screening Version(PDDBI-SV) helps you quickly identify children – in children ages 18 months-12.5 years- at risk for an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) as identified in the DSM-IV-TR using a Parent report. Items assess non-vocal social problem behaviors typically reported in children with ASD as well as social behaviors that are present in typically developing children but that are absent, delayed, or occurring at a much lower rate in children with ASD. One simple score, Social Deficit (SOCDEF), measures both the presence of inappropriate social behaviors and the absence of appropriate social behaviors and is classified into one of six levels of severity, ranging from extreme symptoms to ASD/social deficits unlikely, letting you know quickly whether the child is at risk.
Please also note the PDD Behavior Inventory kit for a full assessment for caregivers or clinicians who have concerns about a possible ASD/PDD diagnosis.
