Course Lab Booking

This Booking Form is for the use of faculty members and course directors for full term bookings.
If you would like to book the lab for a Short term booking (research, short courses (SCS), workshops, etc.) or set of specific dates besides a recurring weekly class please click here

Undergraduates and others should speak with Mary Maleki – BSB 160.

Please refer to booking conditions at the bottom of the page.

  • Book only for the date(s) and time(s) you will actually use the lab.
  • ALWAYS refer to current Hebb Computer Lab hours before booking (can be found on the left-hand side of the page).
  • Review the Lab Booking Guidelines below.
Lab updates will be distributed with your e-mail booking confirmation.
  • Bookings are made on a first received basis.
  • Except by special arrangement, we will book a maximum of one hour weekly for the exclusive use of a course. However, bookings made for specific weeks and selective dates will be considered for more than one hour weekly for a course.
  • Every year we have more and more occasions when we are unable to meet all the requests for lab time. I would ask that you let me know ASAP if your booking requirements change over the course of the year and these times can then be made available to others.
  • We will do our best to accommodate everyone's requests. Should conflicts arise we may require your co-operation in making a revision(s) particularly if you have booked time over the 1 hour per week.
  • Please indicate the times and dates you would like to reserve the lab.
  • Please indicate any other requirements in the COMMENTS section.
  • If you would like to have the lab booked EXCLUSIVELY for your class only on certain dates (as opposed to drop-in or shared at other times), please indicate this information in the COMMENTS section.
  • As more classes start using the lab, we have to allocate the use of the lab more carefully. It is particularly important that the lab only be booked for times that it will actually be used.
  • We plan to protect a large number of hours during the week for drop-in times. A T/A may be present during these drop-in times but the lab is not reserved for exclusive use of the course.
  • Bookings are for the use of 159--central area plus cubicles.
  • We urge instructors who have a booked hour to allow use of computers in the cubicles by others if not needed by their students.
  • Computers in 162A are for the exclusive use of graduate students and faculty - please share this with your undergraduate students.
