|The Gilliam Autism Rating Scale, 3rd Ed. (GARS-3) has been revised and items and subscales reflect DSM-5™ diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder. It can be administered in 5-10 minutes and scored in abount10 minutes. New normative data were collected in 2010 and 2011. Fifty-eight items describe the characteristic behaviors of persons with autism and are grouped into six subscales: Restrictive / Repetitive Behaviors, Social Interaction, Social Communication, Emotional Responses, Cognitive Style, and Maladaptive Speech. The manual provides basic information about autism, instructions for administering and scoring the test, procedures for interpreting the results, technical information about the instrument.
