|Title:||Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration, 6th ed. (Beery VMI-6) & Teaching Materials Starter Kit|
|Author:||Keith E. Beery, Natasha A. Beery, & Norman A. Buktenica|
|Description:||The Beery VMI-6th Ed. assesses the extent to which an individual can integrate his or her visual and motor abilities (eye-hand coordination). The 6th edition includes updated norms for ages 2 thought 18. Adult norms are also included for age 19 and above but were not updated. Updated reports of medical, neuropsychological, international and other advances in uses are included. It is a useful test for psychologists, school counselors, teachers, and other professionals to identify individuals who may be experiencing visual-motor integration difficulties, to make appropriate referrals, and to measure treatment progress. As a culture-free, nonverbal assessment, the Beery VMI-6 is useful with individuals of diverse environmental, educational, and linguistic backgrounds.
The Beery VMI-6 test comes in two formats: the Short Format and the Full Format. The Short Format is often used with younger children. Both present drawings of geometric forms arranged in order of increasing difficulty.
The Beery VMI-6 Teaching Materials Starter Kit includes My Book of Shapes, My Book of Letters and Numbers, Developmental Teaching Activities, Developmental Wall Chart, and Stepping Stones Parent Checklist
